DRISTILABS - an overview

DRISTI is an acronym for Dr.Rao‘s Institute of Scientific and Technological Interventions. The concept for the organization has emerged out of the experience through quality control, research and development activities taken up by from 1990 on various natural,food and forest based items and certain synthetic products. DRISTI is a professionally managed organization under the guidance of Dr.M.V.Rao.

The essential areas of interest are Polysaccharides, Cellulose based products, gums, natural products, spices and certain speciality chemicals.

The organization essentially deals with the development and analysis of the products, analytical methodology and research. DRISTI does not just offer an "across-the-table-instantaneous" consultancy but shall be involved in a thorough practical approach with proven technologies in the laboratory. We have a full-fledged laboratory with modern facilities and expertise with impeccable and modern systems of reporting and consolidating the data.

1. Testing and analysis – DRISTI is involved in testing and analysis of various products as mentioned above and the development of testing methods and specifications.

2. Training – DRISTI offers theoretical–cum- practical training course with respect to analysis and quality control of food and allied products. The course shall be time bound and meant for different categories.

3. Research and Development - Research on different products and agricultural produce to meet the specification of trade and improving the shelf life is another area of interest to DRISTI.

4. Software development –DRISTI is actively engaged in some specialized software useful for Good Laboratory Practices in microbiology and other analysis.

5. Pilot scale upscaling – As DRISTI is actively engaged in the development of new products, there are facilities to upscale to production levels.
